İHD announced report of Xerabé Bava : We have never seen such a thing before 2017-02-24 16:25:12 ANKARA – Human Rights Association (İHD) announced a report about blockaded village of Xerabé Bava. According to witnesses “We haven’t seen such a thing in 12 September coup neither 90’s” in İHD report. İHD also called the assembly to “make examination in the village”. İHD shared the report about human rights violations in Xerabé Bava Village of Nusaybin county with public opinion by press statement. İHD also didn’t share their members’ names who prepared report because of security reasons. Mardin Governor Mustafa Yaman and Nusaybin District Governor didn’t reply the requests of appointment of İHD. According to report, members of İHD made numbers visits and tried to go to Xerabé Bava Vilage (Koruköy). But envoys were blocked to enter the village by soldiers. According to witnesses statements, operation was launched towards the village around 1t 19.30 on February 11 and mukhtar announced the curfew from the mosque’s loudspeaker. It was also reported that numbers of people were taken to square of the village by torture. A woman 35 year-old stated to members of İHD, her two daughters, 12 and 14 year-old were kept by state forces to serve them. Family still can’t keep contact with their daughters. According to report, 16 people were taken into custody from Saturday to Monday and numbers people who needed to go to hospital weren’t allowed to leave from village. Witnesses also stated that there was no conflict when operation began but after six days of operation conflict occurred. İHD also stated that the village was evacuated in 1995 and numbers civilians had been killed in state forces’ operation.
