DAİŞ suspect released due to his health problems

İSTANBUL –  Ercan Sanık who is accused to being member of DAİŞ and judged on attacking to Taksim where four tourists lost their life and 44 were wounded were released due to his health problems.

Suicide bomber named Mehmet Öztürk had attacked to a tourist group on İstiklal Street of Beyoğlu on 19 March 2016 in İstanbul and four tourists, three citizen of Israel one citizen of Iran, lost their life 44 wounded after the attack. After the explosion five people were jailed as suspects on charges of “being member and executive of DAİŞ (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant).

The trial of DAİŞ members was heard today in 23rd Heavy Penal Court of Istanbul and suspects attended to trial by SEGBİS (Sound and Image Information System). 

After statements of suspects, court board decided to release Ercan Çapkın due to his health problem.
