Co-mayor of Saray taken into custody

VAN – Numbers people included co-mayor of Saray Municipality of Van Abdülkadir Çalışkan were taken into custody by police raids

Numbers houses were raided by police forces in Saray county of Van at early morning hours. It was reported that numbers people included dismissed co-mayor Abdülkadir Çalışkan, alderpersons and workers of municipality were taken into custody. Saray Municipality’s co-mayor Çalışkan had been dismissed right after trustee appointed to his office by interior ministry’s decree.

It was reported that detained people were sent to Gendarme Commandership of Saray.
