Kurdish wihistled students taken into custody 2017-03-20 17:57:06 DİYARBAKIR – Police intervened to students of Dicle University during celebration of Newroz because they whistled in Kurdish. Numbers students were taken into custody by battered. Students of Dicle University in Diyarbakır gathered in front of Law Faculty building for celebrating Newroz. Before the event began police tried to take a student into custody because he whistled marching song of “Çerxa Şoreşeé”. After other students tried to stop them, police began to intervene and tens student were taken into custody by battered. Despite police intervention, student gathered again and “ We will win by resisting” chanted all together. Detained students were sent to police headquarter.
