31 people taken into custody in Dersim and Antalya after Newroz

DERSİM / ANTALYA – 11 people included chief editor of Radio Munzur Mehmet Çağrı were taken into custody in raids after Newroz celebration. It was also reported that 20 people were taken into custody in Antalya while they were trying to celebrate the Newroz.




Initiative was given to people by Organization Committee of Newroz after governorship of Antalya didn’t give permission for Newroz Celebration in Antalya for March 19. People of Antalya gathered at evining of March 21 and began to celebrate the Newroz. Police forces attacked to people during the celebration and 20 people were taken into custody after police intervention and sent to police headquarter of Kepez.

 

 

Police also raided to number houses in Dersim at this early morning hours. 11 people included chief editor of Radio Munzur Mehmet Çağrı were taken into custody and sent to police headquarter of Tunceli.
