" Our land is our life" 2017-03-23 11:02:40 MARDİN – Necbir Kara returned to her land from İstanbul after 20 days. Kara had to migrate to Istanbul during curfew in Nusaybin. Kara asked her house and said “ I closed the door with blankets and live my ‘forbidden’ house”. Necbir Kara (26) is still waiting to return to her own house in Nusaybin where entrance still is blocked. Kara , her husband with six children had migrated to İstanbul right after curfew began in Nusaybin and returned to Kızıltepe after 20 days from Istanbul. Kara says they came back from İstanbul because they lived in hard conditions. “ We rent a house. There was only a room. There is no even a kitchen at the house. I was washing dishes at the garden. My daughter was studying but because of economic conditions she had to work. We had quite hard 20 days in İstanbul and we wanted to return our land. Therefore we rent a house in Kızıltepe (Mardin), one room and one saloon. We are not going anywhere else anymore. Our land is our life” said Kara. Kara also complains that state doesn’t allow to back their home. “ We have been far from our houses for months and they don’t let us back to our home. They destroyed the city for forcing to migrate another land. But our land is our life. All we want to back our home” said Kara.
