Operations continue towards Kurds : eight taken into custody , twelwe jailed 2017-03-24 12:52:53 NEWS BUREAU – Eight people were taken into custody in Osmaniye as part of ongoing operation towards Kurds. It was also reported that while four detained people were released in Dersim, 12 people were jailed in Bursa and Muş. Police raided number houses at the same time in Osmaniye at this early morning hours. Citizens named Fesih Aktaş, Mahir Eren, Seyithan Eren, Abidin Eren, Ali Fırat Çelik, Mazlum Car, Murat Özcan and Deniz Kısacık were taken into custody after searching the houses. It was reported that detained people were sent to police headquarter of Osmaniye. Also It was reported seven people who were taken into custody before Newroz Celebration were released in Osmaniy. 21 people who were taken into custody in Bursa on March 15 were sent into the courthouse from police headquarter. After questioned by prosecutor, three people were released and 18 were sent to court board on claim of “propaganda for illegal organization”. After testimony to court board six people were jailed and 12 were released. Detained 19 people in Muş on March 20 were sent into the court house of Muş. Seven people included former HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Province co-chair Abdurrahman Çapin and province co-chair of DBP (Democratic Regions Party) were jailed on charge of “being member of illegal organization”. Meanwhile detained for people were released after they were taken into custody in Dersim on claim of “being member of illegal organization”.
