A father speaks how he stops his son to join to DAİŞ

MANİSA – Organization form of DAİŞ in Manisa came to light. According to a citizen who at last moment could stop his son to join DAİŞ said “ Members of organization contact with young  and offer 8-10 thousand Turkish Lira salary to gain member for organization.”




Another organization form came to light how DAİŞ (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) gains members from Manisa city in western Turkey. It is claimed that members are settling in neighborhoods where Syrian are mostly and contact with young, specially religious young. It is also claimed that members offer to young 8-10 thousand lira ( approximately between two-two and half thousand euro) to join the organization.




 A father in Horozköy county of Manisa who could stop his son to join DAİŞ at last moment said “A member of them from Chechnya had told my son to make him teacher in Chechnya and give him 8-10 thousand Turkish lira salary. My son had accepted. A young from İzmir another from Aydın were going to Konya with my son. That member also came our house. Drank our tea, ate our food. He said to us that he was student in Syria and fled to Turkey after war has began. Later we understood he used a fake name and he wasn’t student.”




Father says when he realized his son disappeared, he went to bus station and learnt that his son went to Konya  from people he knows in bus station. “I and my relatives went to Konya to find my son. I went to police station in Konya and told them the situation. Police told me ‘We took into custody a young person. He is free and over 18. We can’t do anything’. Then I went to governorship of Konya. Vice governor made a call police station. Police said to vice governor ‘We had to release them due to their age. But we are following them. Don’t worry’” said father.




“Then I went to an Islamic monastery in Konya. There was no any sign board of monastery. I asked my son to people who were in the monastery. They told me that my son and two other young has came there and prayed with them. Then went to a hotel. Then we went to hotel. Owner of hotel told me ‘they are rational people. They know what they are doing. Don’t worry and go to your home. They know much better than I and you’. Later we went to police but no one helped us” says father.

 

Father says he return to Manisa when he lost his faith to find his son. “Then my son called me up and told me that he was in Urfa city. I went to the city and asked to soldier that I m looking my son. But they didn’t help me. I searched my son for three days and I had to return. Then my child has realized that they were not being sent to work when members speaks Arabic among each other about sending children to Syria for fight” said father.
