Military authorities threat villager by saying 'we will close down you coal mine if you refuse to be rural guards'

ŞIRNAK –  Citizen in Dağkonak village of Balveren town in Şırnak mentioned that military authorities said ‘if you don’t accept to being rural guards we will close your coal mine” to villagers.




It was reported that military authorities pressures over villagers Dağkonak in Şırnak to being rural guards. According to villagers, authorities of Gendarme commandership of Balveren came to village  20 days ago and gathered to people at square of the village to ask being rural guards from villagers who are under 35 year-old. After anyone didn’t accept the offer of authorities, villagers were threatened by saying ‘we will close you coal mine if you don’t accept to being rural guards for us’.
