DTK : Prisoners' demands are our people's demands

DİYARBAKIR – DTK made statement about  critic threshold on hunger strike in prisons and said “ Their demands are also peoples’ demands. Hunger strike reach dimension of life-threatening.”




Democratic Society Congress (DTK) made a statement on hunger strike in prison to protest rights violations and forced transportations which it was launched in Şakran Prison 44 days ago, in Sincan 36 days ago, Van 23 days ago and Edirne 34 days ago. 




“  We are passing from extraordinary days in Turkey, especially in Kurdistan. The heaviest implementation is conducted in prisons of Kurdistan and Turkey. These implementations threat the prisons life conditions. 







Specially after July 15 coup attempt, violations against human rights reached advanced stage.

 

We as DTK would like to state that prisoners’ demands are also our people’s demands. We also call to our people, international association, especially CPT, human rights activists to being more sensitive” said DTK in the statement.
