Detention and arrests continue : 23 people taken into custody, 15 jailed

NEWS BUREAU – 23 people mostly executives of DBP were taken into custody in Siirt and Batman. Also 15 in detained 20 people were jailed in Antalya.




Numbers people were taken into custody by police raids towards number houses at the same time in Siirt city center and Eruh county. 16 people were taken into custody without any justification and sent to police headquarter of Siirt. It was reported that most people who taken into custody are executives of DBP (Democratic Regions Party).




It was also reported that number of detention can be raise.




Seven people included executives of DBP  were taken into custody by police raids at early morning hours in Batman and number of detention can be raise.

 

Two people in 20 who were taken into custody by police raids before Newroz Celebration in Antalya were released and 18 people were sent into courthouse on claim of “being member of illegal organization”, “propaganda for illegal organization”. 15 people were jailed and three were released
