Police promises a young to have job in exchange for being agency for state

DİYARBAKIR – A citizen named A.B  claimed that he was offered to being agency for Turkish state while he was taken into custody because of being deserter. A.B “If you accept to work for us we will find you a job in the municipality” said.

Cousins named İ.B and A.B was taken into custody three days ago while they were visiting to a relative’s grave in a cemetery in Diyarbakır. After taken into custody, İ.B was jailed because of his certain prison sentence.

Citizen named A.B (21) was sent to somewhere out of city despite he was told that he would sent to police headquarter because of he is deserter. A.B claimed that he was offered to being agency for Turkish State. “ When they took me out of city they asked me whether I am working somewhere or not. I told them after trustee was appointed to municipality I was dismissed. They offered to me help to get my job back if I accept to work for them. They told me ‘ Let’s work together. We don’t want to anybody to being hurt. Therefore we took you. We will not hurt you. Whether you accept our offer or not, you are still my brother’. After I refused their offer, I was threatened with death. Then I must ‘Yes’ to their offer to save my life. Then they told me ‘I you speak to press about this conversation, bad things are going to happen. We will call you on Monday at 12.00 a.m’. Then I was released and gave me some money. Despite I insisted to refuse take money they offered, they told me ‘ If you don’t take the money, you will be responsible of the thing is going to happen’. I don’t know how much I was given because I threw the money when I moved away from them” said A.B

A.B also said if something happens to him, state will be responsible for this and he also mentioned that he will apply to Human Rights Association (İHD).
