Operations towards 'No' campaigner before 12 days to referendum 2017-04-05 12:55:10 NEWS BUREAU - 38 people were taken into custody in Adana,Mersin,Hatay,İstanbul and Erzurum by police raids before 12 days to referendum. The day began by police raids before 12 days to referendum. Police raided 20 different addresses at the same time on the early morning hours in Adana. The doors was broken by hammerhead and police searched the houses. After the searching number books,newpapers and computers were seized and 14 people were taken into custody without any justification. It was reported detained people were sent to police headquarter of Adana after they were sent to medical examination. Police also raided number houses in Mersin city , Mezitli and Yenişehir counties. After the police raids 14 students were taken into custody. Members of TÖPG ( Social Freedom Party Initiative) were taken into custody before Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visits Hatay for referendum campaign. It was reported members named Ali Öztürk, Onur Gezici, Mesut Soya, Mithatcan Türetken and Ahmet Doğan were taken into custody by police raids from their home while citizen named Serpil Kırdağ was taken into custody from her workplace. It was also reported that citizen named Mahir Mansuroğlu and Doğuş Genç couldn’t found during police raids. It was reported Father Adil Görücü was taken into custody with his daughter Sevim Görücü because they were listening Kurdish music at their house in Esenler county of İstanbul. Father and daughter were sent to police headquarter. Alderperson of Tekman Municipality Sebahattin Kılıç was taken into custody in Erzurum by police raid without any justification. It was reported that Kılıç was sent to police headquarter of Erzurum. Meanwhile detained 13 people in Dersim yesterday were sent into courthouse at yesterday hours. After questioned by prosecution citizen named Volkan Çiçek was released and 12 people named İlke Başak Baydar, Beren Atıcı, Ali Ekber Kaya, Hüseyin Dağdeviren, Hüseyin Mavi, Hakan Kavut, Hasan Hüseyin Akyüz , Ali Haydar Eren, Hüseyin Arğal, İlkay Cem Işık, Sinan Sarıtaş and Hasan Yıldız were jailed on claim of “being member of illegal organization.”
