There are 166 imprisoned journalists in Turkey : Free Journalist Initiative

DİYARBAKIR –  Free Journalists Inıtiative (ÖGİ) published its press violation’s report of March. ÖGİ stated there are 166 journalists are imprisoned.  




ÖGİ published its press violation’s report on March. According to report, pressures have raised over journalist in Turkey on March.  ÖGİ also pointed that journalist Tuba Akyılmaz ( Nujiyan Erhan) was killed in Sinjar right after KDP ( Kurdistan Democrat Party) leader Masoud Barzani visited to Turkey.

 

37 journalists were taken into custody during following the news in Turkey on March and five of them were jailed. It was also reported that six journalist exposed to attack during following the news and three of them were wounded. Also investigation was launched against eight journalists because of their reports.
