Lawsuit brought against elected co-mayor and alderperson because not shake hands with appointed trustee 2017-04-06 13:52:38 DİYARBAKIR – Lawsuit was brought against dismissed co-mayor of Kulp Municipality Süer Baran and alderperson Murat Ay up to seven years prison sentence because they didn’t shake hands with appointed trustee Muhsin Çiçek. Lawsuit was brought against dismissed and imprisoned co-mayor of Kulp Municipality Süer Baran and alderperson Murat Ay because they didn’t shake hands with appointed trustee Muhsin Çiçek on claim of “ threatening and defamation”. According to accusation , Trustee Çiçek was threated by co-mayor Ay and alderperson Baran to resign from his position. But only four alderperson of AKP (Justice and Development Party) gave testimony as witnesses to Çiçek’s claims. Süer and Ay denied the accusation that they threated to appointed trustee. According to Süer’s testimony in accusation, “ I was chairperson of municipality council that day and appointed trustee barged into the meeting room without knocking the door and asking permission. He shake hands only with members of AKP. I said ‘ We don’t want to any trouble in our county Kulp. Our imprisoned friends were elected by people of Kulp. We haven’t any tension with AKP’s members since two years. Because they were also elected by people of Kulp.
