Prisoner on a hunger strike in a single cell since 30 days

ADANA – Prisoner named Deniz Özdemir is on a hunger strike since 30 days for ending solitary confinement   in Kürkçüler F Type Closed Prison of Adana.




Prisoner Deniz Özdemir is on a hunger strike since March 9 in Adana. Özdemir is kept in a single cell since one year and he was isolated from his rights such as social activities, receiving books from his family. Özdemir stated that he will continue to hunger strike until his request being accepted.

 

Father Naci Özdemir “My son was jailed on May 29 of 2016 in Kulp county of Diyarbakır and he is kept in a single cell since that day. My son has health issues and his all rights were seized by authorities. We wrote a petition for my son’s situation to prison’s authorities and Justice Ministry but we didn’t receive any answer. He is on a hunger strike and situation is going worse day by day. He has lost weight and we are concerning about my son’s life conditions” said.
