Operation towards Sözcü Newspaper on investigation of FETÖ 2017-05-19 16:38:36 İSTANBUL – An operation was launched towards Sözcü Newspaper on claim of “ committing crime on behalf of FETÖ”. It was reported warrant was issued for four people included owner of the newspaper Burak Akbay. Operation was launched towards Sözcü Newspaper by direction of Chief Public Prosecution’s Office of Istanbul. It is claimed that warrant was issued for owner of newspaper Burak Akbay, managing director of website Melda Olgun, financial affair manager Yonca Kaleli and reporter Gökmen Ulu. It was reported operation was launched on claim of “committing crime on behalf of FETÖ (Fetullahist Terrorist Organization). It was reported owner of the newspaper Akbay couldn’t taken into custody because he is in London and Olgun and Ulus was taken into custody. “ No one need to worry about operation. Because the newspaper will continue to be voice of people” said newpaper’s authorities in a written statement. Writer of Sözcü Uğur Dündar also made a statement about operation. “ There are detentions in this celebration day! I will go to directly my newspaper Sözcü. If Sözcü is FETÖ, then all Turkey are FETÖ” said in his twitter account.
