Forty-Four-Year Lawyer : I never seen any perpaetrators were known in Unidentified Murders Case

DİYARBAKIR –  Forty-four-year lawyer Fethi Gümüş says that he never seen in any case of unidentified murders were became known or any perpetrators were punished included Vedat Aydın, Musa Anter’s cases.

 Disappearing into custody’s list has begun from one of the important Kurdish Politician HEP (People’s Labor Party) Diyarbakır Branch Chair Vedat Aydın Case in 1991.  The very last one is Tahir Elçi who was killed in front of four legged minaret.  Lawyer Fethi Gümüş spent 44 years of his life to uncover unidentified murders. Gümüş “Any case of unidentified murders couldn’t became known or any one wasn’t punished until now” said.




Gümüş “  I know from my cases’ experiences that assassinations were made by Government agencies organization. Therefore any case weren’t became known. Perpetrators are being protected by the state despite solid evidences.” said. 

Gümüş also marked to “33 bullets” case which General Mustafa Muğlalı killed 33 Kurdish in 1943. “ State blasted away on this case and punished them. But later government started to think that they made mistake to punish them and reversed the decision. Then their name were put on the streets name, military bases name. Also Lice was fired by know people. 401 houses and 259 shops were collapsed. 17 people were murdered. But even one suspect was judged” said Gümüş.




 In Şırnak,Mardin and Diyarbakır Gendermerie Intelligence Organization’s case, Cemal Temizöz who was suspect of these case already confessed that he killed many people and where he buried them but state muscled on this case and moved the case file to somewhere else , said Gümüş. “Because If perpetrators became known state would be guilty” said Gümüş.




Fethi Gümüş is one the trial lawyers which is about tortures and inhuman implementations in Diyarbakır Number Five prison. He is also pursued the trial against unidentified murders in 90’s.
