DTK co-char Güven : Öcalan is the key for whole Middle East's Peace

NEWS BUEROU –DTK co-chair Leyla Güven spoke to News Channel TV about recent situation in Turkey. Güven said “ Öcalan is the key for solution and peace if they think a peace concept in whole Middle East”.



Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair gave interview to a TV program of News Channel named “Amed Gündem”. Güven said “There is no any longer opposition group except Kurds. Therefore AKP (Justice and Development Party) tries to eliminate the Kurds”.




Güven also reminded that despite the oppressions against Kurds, they are still standing against AKP’s implementations. “Kurdish Question didn’t begin with AKP period. AKP security policies come from 80’s-90’s. Whereas AKP was acting different a while ago. They are proud that they made separated roads but they also separated society” said Güven.

 

Güven said “Yesterday AKP was attacking to Kurds with Gülen Movement but today they are doing same thing with ultra-nationalists. We might have damaged from this policies, but real damaged is to Turkey Democracy. Kurdish politicians were acting carefully and taking responsibility. Despite this, Turkish Government made Turkey as a blood sea. Economic crisis is reflection of political crisis”.

 

According to Güven, AKP changed the system behind the scene and secularism in under the attack by AKP government. Güven also referred to Öcalan for getting out of this chaos. Güven also reminded that Öcalan had warned to Turkey if they step back from the peace, the coup mechanism will be active by invisible powers. 

 

Despite the Öcalan’s warning, Isolation increased over Öcalan. “ Öcalan is the key for peace if they thinks a peace concept for whole Middle East. Turkey know that better than anyone. Because Öcalan made an effort to stop these killings. He had said we can resolve this problem in six months at the last meeting. But Government still doesn’t send a committee to İmralı Prison” said Güven.
