Claiming Torture to Women Prisoners in Antalya

ANTALYA –  It was claimed that women prisoners were exposed to torture in Antalya L Type Closed Prison. Families of prisoners claimed that women prisoners were dragged from their hair on ground. They urged to democratic civil societies  investigate the incident.




Family learned the torture in visiting day of prisoners. According to family incident was happened on December 20.  Politic prisoner Gülistan Tekmen Nuray said the torture implementation to her family in visiting day. Guards hold Nuray’s hair during they were dragging her on the ground and her hair bulb drifted away, according to the family. Prisoner Nuray’s father Hacı Tekmen “ I sent a green coat to my daughter on Monday. Guards had started to torture to her that because the coat was green” said.




Also prisoner Berivan Yüce’s father Ziya Yücel said “ I was informed that my daughter was tortured as well. There was a shiner on my daughter neck. Father Yüce also reminded that there were already torture implementation in this prison. Before they were sayin Fettullah Gülen follower did it. But now. Who did this to our daughter? We all are concerning about our children’s lives.”
