Numbers of Journalist detained in Diyarbakır and İstanbul 2016-12-25 10:38:57 NEWS BUEROU – Police forces raided to journalists houses in Diyarbakır and İstanbul. DİHA director Ömer Çelik, DİHA reporter Metin Yoksu, Diken reporter BirGün newspaper accounting supervisor Mahir Kanat were detained. Also searching in house where ETHA workers live in is still continuing. Police raided to the closed by Decree Dicle News Agency (DİHA) director Ömer Çelik’s house in Diyarbakır. Numbers of police raided the Çelik’s house and distributed the housewares. Also police tortured to Çelik during half an hour. Police showed the reason to Çelik to take into custody that the news he made. DİHA reporter Metin Yoksu also was detained after police forces raided the house he lives in İstanbul at late night. Special Forces also seized all family members’ cell phone. Diken reporter and writer Tunce Öğreten ,BirGün newspaper’s accounting supervisor Mahir Kanat were detained by police in their houses. Police raided to a house in Beyoğlu-İstanbul where Etkin News Agency (ETHA) workers live. Police searched the house and seized two lap top. Police also asked to Özgür Radio general coordinator Derya Okatan.
