Publisher of Özgür Gündem Newspaper Sancılı Jailed

İSTANBUL – Closed Özgür Gündem Newspaper’s publisher Kemal Sancılı was jailed on charges of “ being member of illegal organization” and “disrupt the unity and territorial integrity of the state”.

Publisher of closed Özgür Gündem Newspaper Kemal Sancılı had been detained yesterday in Akçakale county of Urfa and beared testimony. After bearing testimony Sancılı was jailed on charges of “ being member of illegal organization” and “disrupt the unity and territorial integrity of the state”. Sancılı will be taken to a prison in İstanbul.
