Çatak Municipality co-mayor Bartu Jailed

VAN – Çatak Municipality co-mayor Celalettin Bartu and four other Kurdish politicians were jailed.

18 Kurdish politicians included Çatak Municipality co-mayor Celalettin Batur had been detained. Bartu and other five Kurdish politicians were taken to the court yesterday on January four.

Co-mayor Bartu, deputy mayor Turgut babur, alderperson Atar Ertaş, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) executives Nihat Babur and Vehbi Batur were jailed on charge of “ aiding and abetting to illegal organization.”

It was also reported that other 13 politician are kept into custody in police department.
