İzmir Governor : One police officer and one bailiff lost their life

İZMİR – Governor of İzmir Erol Ayyıldız made a statement about explosion in İzmir. “ One police officer and one bailiff lost their life and also seven people were wounded” said Ayyıldız.

First official statement issued by İzmir Governor Erol Ayyıldız. “ Conflict began after  police stopped the car. Escapers detonated the car after they got out the car and conflict began. One police officer and one bailiff lost their life and also seven people were wounded” said Governor.

Governor also said two people who detonated the car by bomb were killed and police seized eight rocket propelled grenades, eight hand grenades and two kalashnikov after the gun fight. 

Governor informed the press that another bomb-laden vehicle was blasted in a control manner. “Our findings show that perpetrators are PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) member” said Governor.
