Three killed in a cooper mine landslide in Siirt

SİİRT – 16 workers were trapped in a cooper mine in Siirt-Şirvan late November 17. It was it by landslide that 16 workers were trapped.

 The landslide occurred in the Şirvan county of Siirt during work at privately-owned mine. According to Siirt Governor statement, one dead body of worker had been retrieved and two more bodies have been located.

HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Siirt deputy Besime Konca and HDP Siirt provincial co-chair Abdullah Çetin had burst on the scene.

The landslide was believed to have been caused by heavy rain. Meantime another landslide had been occurred in the same mine last July 25.
