Protestors blocked in front of the Assembly 2017-01-09 14:32:35 ANKARA – Police forces intervened in protestors against negotiation new constitution proposal today. Tens of democratic society organizations including Ankara Bar , Halkevleri (People’s house), Haziran Hareketi ( June Movement), Confederation of Public Employees Trade Unions (KESK), Republic People Party (CHP) and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) gathered in front of Dikmen gate of the Assembly to protesting against negotiation constitution proposal. The group faced with police blockaded by vehicles. Police forces intervened in protestors with tear gas. CHP PM Aykut Erdoğdu “ the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) is being blockaded. TBMM is being blockaded by its police. Shame that they ordered to youth police to blockade the assembly. We will not let them destroy the republic. We will not give this country to the traitors” said in the assembly. CHP PM Sezgin Tanrıkulu also made a statement on the periscope broadcast. “No one has gun , no one is suicide bomber in here. Opinion leader, lawyers are here. Who will state its opinion if these people can’t” said Tanrıkulu.
