I argue against a possible cross-border operation: Derailed soldier’ father 2016-11-20 15:28:31 MALATYA – Sergeant Semih Özbey had been derailed by PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) members in Dersim (Tunceli) in 17 September 2015. Sergeant Özbey’s father Gürsel Özbey said “Government didn’t do anything except to wish patience since 14 months”. Father Özbey also argue against cross-border operation to Qandil and Zap. It has been forgotten that around 30 soldiers, police had been derailed by PKK. Government keeps shtum in spite of families’ worries. Sergeant Özbey’s family is one of those families. Sergeant Özbey’s video had been issued by PKK and he had stated that I want to peace all around the world. Father Özbey “We had met with president as well for my son.President had said to me ‘be patience, we are completely working on it’ but since 14 months nothing has changed” said. Father Özbey mentioned that he had met with all parties, human rights association (İHD) and numbers of NGOs. “We are suffering every single day and we don’t have any power to stand anymore” said father Özbey. “We argue against a possible cross-border operation” “Our concerns have raised with possibility to operation of cross-border to Qandil and Zap. We want solution with peace. We don’t want to mothers to cry anymore.This country needs peace. I am not agree with every attempts included cross-border operations which puts dangerous our children.
