Siblings claim to be exposed to torture during detention

DİYARBAKIR – It was claimed Orhan and Salih Yakışır siblings were exposed to torture and threatened by death while they were at home and sent to police headquarter.  It was stated by family that police who raided siblings’ house said “ Do you think we are normal police officer” to the family.

 

 Special police forces raided Yakışır family’s house on April 10 and 11. During the raid by tens of special forces all members of the family were locked in a room. According to family members’ statement, police asked ‘ which of you Orhan Yakışır’ when they raid the house. Orhan Yakışır (27) was prostrated right after he said ‘I am’. Brother reacted to treatments towards Orhan was exposed to torture and police ‘Do you know who we are? Do you think we are normal police officer? We will kill all of you. We will kill you as we killed Süleyman Yakışır and Mahsum Gürkan” threated the family.
