Prisoners' relatives begin a hunger strike in Ankara 2017-04-13 16:17:17 ANKARA – Prisoners’ relatives in Ankara began hunger strike for solidarity with prisoners in İHD office while indefinite hunger strike without rotation is on 58th days. Prisoners’ relatives began hunger strike in Human Rights Association (İHD) Ankara Branch Office for solidarity with prisoners on indefinite hunger strike since 58th days. Free Women Movement ( TJA) activist Gülhan Özlü made a statement on behalf of the relatives. “There are over 200 prisoners on indefinite hunger strike without rotation in 22 different prisons since 58 days and numbers of prisoners are raising day by day. None authority made an effort to find a solution during the hunger strike” stated Özlü. Özlü also reminded prisoners’ medical conditions are going worse and reached to critical point. “ Our children have high sprit and they declared they will keep continue until end.” Özlü stated they began hunger strike with rotation for solidarity with prisoners on hunger strike and called to authorities to find a solution before people die.
