Buldan : Justice Minister is acting like deaf-blind about hunger strike 2017-04-14 11:41:37 İZMİR – HDP group deputy chairperson Pervin Buldan stated that Justice Minister plays deaf-blind about hunger strike. Buldan “ I think negotiation and dialogue with Mr. Öcalan will end the hunger strike” said. Indefinite hunger strike without rotation is on 59th days. Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) group deputy chairperson Pervin Buldan said meeting with Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ about finding solution on hunger strike remained inconclusive. “ We have no news about Mr. Öcalan’s medical and security conditions. Just his brother Mehmet Öcalan could visit him on 5 April 2015 for once. There is hunger strike all across prisons of Turkey to protest isolation over Mr.Öcalan. We spoke about prisoners’ requests with Minister Bozdağ and we stated the requests should be accepted immediately. But unfortunately Justice Minister played deaf-blind about the requests as usual” said Buldan. Buldan also told Justice Minister will be responsible over bad end of hunger strike and added “ We told what prisoners’ requests are. Minister didn’t leant to requests. I was witness of hunger strike on 2012. It was a long hunger strike and when government met with Öcalan, prisoners ended hunger strike after Öcalan’s call. I think negotiation and dialogue with Öcalan will end hunger strike again. I want to mention that Mr. Öcalan is on side of peace and the one who efforts to resolve Kurdish Question with democratic methods
