Prisoners kept single cell during indefinite hunger strike 2017-04-23 13:49:05 ANKARA – It was reported that prisoners named Şahin Tanrıverdi and Kadri Kaplan were put cell while they began indefinite hunger strike on day of 64 and authorities seized prisoners’ personal belongings. Over 300 hundred prisoners had begun indefinite hunger strike without rotation by requests “remove isolation over PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, remove blockades over villages of Kurdish and end rights violation in prisons” and ended it 64th day. Prisoners named Şahin Tanrıverdi and Kadri Kaplan were one of those prisoners who were on hunger strike in Amasya E Type Prison. According to received information, prisoner Tanrıverdi spoke about continuing rights violation in the prison to his mother Nevin Tanrıverdi. Prisoner Tanrıverdi said they were put a single cell when they began indefinite hunger strike on April 17 and all personal belongings were seized by six guards of prison. Mother Tanrverdi “ There are incalculable rights violation in prisons since two years. We can’t comply with these torture treatments. Not only towards my son but also towards all prisoners are kept under fascism” said.
