Right violation continues in Şakran Prison

İZMİR – Women prisoners in Şakran  relayed rights violation are  continuing  even after indefinite hunger strike ended. Prisoner “ We are forced to put in cells of DAİŞ prisoners” said.

 

Prisoners in Şakran Women Prison, Şakran No:4 Prison and İzmir Kırıklar prison stated right violation is increasingly continuing after 64 days of hunger strike.

 

Prisoner Cihan Ası’s father Şeyhmus Ası stated next wings of women prisoners  in Şakran Women Prison is wanted to be used for DAİŞ (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) prisoners. “They aimed to a great provocation” said father.




It was reported by Hediye Tekin whose relative of prisoner Nizam Algünerhan in Şakran No:4 Prison that prisoners are not allowed to gather at the common space and all sportive activities were suspended and blocked. Tekin also mentioned 20 prisoners are living in 12 person capacity cell.

 

Also Melsa Aydın who visited to İzmir Kırıklar Prison mentioned about rights violation in the prison. Aydın told common space was closed for prisoners without any juridical reason and books are not allowed to receive. “ Patient prisoners aren’t sent to hospital to receive medical treatment. I was also told cells of women prisoners are raided by police and women are tortured during raids” said Aydın.
