Police blocks committee and journalists to monitor Yüksekdağ's trial

ANKARA – Police blocked foreigner committee and journalist to monitor former co-chair of HDP Figen Yüksekdağ’s trial.

The first trial of former HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ will be heard in the 16th Heavy Penal Court of Ankara. Despite it was expected the trail would be began at 16.00, the trial didn’t start yet due to previous case.

 A large number of people  included HDP’s lawmakers, members, lawyers and foreigner committee wanted to attend to the trial. But it was reported police didn’t allow foreigner committee and journalists to monitor the trail.

A committee is negotiating with chief judge to resolve problem.
