34 women and 17 children murdered during July of 2017 2017-08-03 12:51:10 NEWS BUREAU – At least 34 women and 17 children were killed by men during July in Turkey. It was also reported 56 women and 32 children were exposed to sexual abuse by men during last July. Violence against women has raised 15 times during 15 years AKP’s (Justice and Development Party) power. This rate is increasing during state of emergency as well. According to women newspaper Gazete Şûjin, 37 women in January, 30 in February, 35 in March, 31 in April, 39 in May and 36 women in June were killed by men. It was reported number of murdered women has raised in July and at least 34 women were murdered by men during July. According to this data, at least 242 women were killed by men during seven month of 2017. 56 percent of murdered women were killed by men who relatives of women and 35 percent of women lost their life suspiciously. It was reported only three percent of murdered women were killed by men who no relative of women. According to Gazete Şujin’s data, at least 32 children were exposed to sexual abuse and 17 children were killed by men. It was also reported two children were killed by armored vehicles crushed and one lost his/her life during explosion.
