URFA – HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Urfa Provincial co-chair Ayşe Sürücü went to her first hearing with “criminal evidence” traditional dress.
Prosecutor had sued to co-chair Sürücü by evidence which is traditional region’s clothes named “kaftan”. “ I beard testimony to court with our traditional wear. This wear is belonging to Kurds,Arab, Assyrian and Ezidi Women even prosecutor insists to claim this is an criminal evidence. We wear the traditional clothes on special days and daily life as well” said.
Prosecutor had demanded punishment but Court had returned a verdict of not guilty, said co-chair Sürücü
