Buldan : There wouldn't any crisis if Dolmabahçe Agreement would accepted

İSTANBUL – HDP PM and member of İmralı Committee Pervin Buldan stated that all steps progress to Dolmabahçe Agreement were taken by President Erdoğan confirmation. “If the agreement with 10 articles would accept, there wouldn’t be any crisis. But Erdoğan denied it” said Buldan.


Today is second anniversary of Dolmabahçe Agreement. The agreement with 10 articles gave hope of peace to public opinion after it was announced. But Erdoğan commented that “I disagree with the agreement” and agreement was suspended. After disagree on Dolmabahçe Agreement, violence raised in two years. Peoples’ Democratic Party(HDP) parliamentarian and member of İmralı Committee spoke out negotiations on ‘peace process’ to Dihaber.


Buldan “ Dolmabahçe Agreement was an important opportunity in history of Turkey for reaching the peace and democratization. This agreement was argued in four different meeting. Articles were carefully written one by one. Both, Mr. Öcalan and State came to agreement on articles. It was important that agreement to be read to the public opinion in Dolmabahçe Palace. Because there was the place where government officials meet and decide their policy. If agreement would accepted Mr. Öcalan would call to PKK (Kurdistan Worker Party) to lay down the arms. But it wasn’t accepted after it was read” stated.


“After declaration of the agreement, president Erdoğan announced that he was disagree with the agreement and there was no any agreement between two sides. But Erdoğan was the one who confirmed all steps that progress to Dolmabahçe Agrement. He even specified how representatives would sit in the press statement. But after two days of declared the agreement Erdoğan announced that he disagreed with agreement. Then visiting with Mr.Öcalan was banned” stated Buldan.

“ Erdoğan saw that HDP became more powerful. Therefore he withdrawn from the agreement and put war concept on his agenda. Then curfew was declared and specially in Kurdistan, war concept was conducted by government and oppression policies were implemented towards HDP” mentioned Buldan.
