DİYARBAKIR – Small retailers are taking down the shıtters by one by and financiers are withdrawing from region’s market. Around two thousand retailers breaking down since last year according to Diyarbakır Chamber of Artisans.
Retailers economically decreasing due to economic crisis in Turkey, curfew and continuing operations in the region.
Latest Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım had announced “East and Southeast Economic Move” on September. But commitments weren’t implemented. Officially over 1.200 retailers had shut down their shops. But unofficially number is around two thousand. Especially the most damaged Sur retailers were expecting receive 50 billion lira interest free loan which was promised by the government. But no one could take loan out.
