A group named Initiative of Journalist from Outside sent letters to imprisoned journalists in Silivri for solidarity. Group gathered in front of post office in Kadıköy county of İstanbul and relatives of imprisoned journalist also attended to campaign. After the sending letter journalists made a statement too.


Gülşah Karadağ from Bir Gün Newspaper spoke on behalf of the initiative. “ According to Reporter without Borders, The hugest prison for journalists is in Turkey. 148 journalists are in prison right now in Turkey and they are facing with rights violation such as receiving and sending letter. Therefore we launched a sending letter campaign for imprisoned journalists” said Kardağ.
