MARDİN – Arrested Mardin co-mayor Ahmet Türk’s wife Mülkiye Türk concerns how Ahmet Türk can survive in the jail with his heavy health condition and said “Sharp vinegar only damages its container. This oppression brings us the chaos. They locked the peace insert of four walls”.


Ahmet Türk was arrested on charges of “being member of illegal organization on November 24. Mülkiye Türk also reacted against by secret witness statements arresting of Ahmet Türk. Mülkiye Türk said statements of secret witness don’t reflect the reality. Ahmet Türk had struggled for the peace, democracy and future of his people according to Mülkiye Türk. “To put in jail a person who had worked to serve to his people for years, is not lawful and rational” said Mülkiye Türk.


“Ahmet is a person not only elected by Mardin people but also he is favor of people. Therefore arresting of Ahmet has made upset thousands people. Ahmet is an old and ill person” mentioned Mülkiye Türk.


“He never complied with cruelty”


Mülkiye Türk also reminded that He agonized heavily in 12 September 1980 period in Diyarbakır Prison. “We didn’t forget yet what he lived in Diyarbakır Prison. They have forced to drink dishwater to him. Tens of soldier were pressing on his back when we went to visit him. But he never ever made concession with democracy, equality and the peace. He never complied with cruelty” said.

Mülkiye Türk called out to authorities to stop this cruelty. “ No one gets nowhere with destroying, arresting. Sharp vinegar only damages its container .Turkey goes to chaos with cruelty and oppressions. They locked the peace insert of four walls” reacted Mülkiye Türk.
