İZMİR – Police took into numbers people into custody and found weapons and files about their organization in three operations towards IŞİD in Manisa. But after a while imprisonment all suspects were released.



312 people lost their life after IŞİD ( Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) from Niğde attack on 20 March 2014 to Reina Club attack on new year eve of 2017. In the meantime numbers operations had been conducted towards IŞİD included operation in Manisa.

Until now three operations toward IŞİD were made in Manisa.


At first operation 20 people were jailed because links of Suruç Massacre on 15 July 2015. Numbers guns and files about the organization were found in their house. Despite found connection between prisoned members and executives of IŞİD in Syria , all suspects were released last year on March.



Second operation toward IŞİD was conducted on 29 October 2016 and five people were taken into custody and released who were jailed and then released at first operation.



Last operation was made after New year attack on January 13 and two people were jailed.

According to accusation on first operation, there are many details about IŞİD organization in Manisa such as hierarchy of IŞİD, names of executives and representatives, how to gain members for organization. Also there are some phone record between members of IŞİD.

According to accusation ,heads of organization in Manisa are known as “ Şenol Hodja” named Abdülkuddus Ulusal and Erhan Efe. Organization is regularly in contact with members in İzmir,Konya and Syria.




Also some pictures which is taken during armed training of members had been put in accusation as evidences. But despite all evidences all members were released at first hearing on January 7 of 2016.




According to accusation there are two different organization in Manisa : A group named “ Emlakdere Group” which is leaded by Erhan Efe and Cevdet Efe, Selahattin Utku Özdiken, Saddam Çelik, Mehmet Şakir Açar, Abdullah Efe, Burhan Efe, Faruk Efe, Mehmet Efe, Yunus Efe and İbrahim Çoşkun are getting on action inside this group. Another group is leaded by Abdulkuddus Ulusal known as “ Şenol Hodja” and Halil Talha Arlı, Ercan Özdemir, Mehmet Biral, Şahin Yeşilyurt, Mehmet Alper Dalgıç, Nazmi Mersinli, Hasan Kaymaz and Ahmet Açıkgöz are getting on action in this group.

According to a denouncement, members are use the Sultan Mosque as headquarter of organization and meeting there regularly.





Statement into custody and praising IŞİD :



According to accusation, leader of organization Abdülkuddüs Ulusal known as “Şenol Hodja” said “ According to my religion State of Turkey Republic is Tağut ( Heretic)” and member Mehmet Biral “ We follow the website of IŞİD which is already know by anyone. We also support some of the IŞİD’s activities” said into police questioned.




Also another member named İbrahim Coşkun announced that he supports IŞİD and said “ According to my believe, IŞİD is ruled by Allah’s rules and follow the jihad. Therefore I do support its activities and ideas” in the statement during into custody.



After all suspect were released, members continued to organize in the city and at last three children missed on December 9 of 2016. After family denounced to police that their children will join to IŞİD, police forces found the children while they were taking train to Konya and children released after taken into custody for a while.
