MARDİN – Mardin population had reacted against Ahmet Türk arresting. “Ahmet Türk is a pacifist said Arabs, Êzidîs and Assyrians citizens of Mardin. “ People had elected them and if people wants they lay down their office” said citizen.

Mardin Metropolitan Municipality co-mayors Ahmet Türk and Februniye Akyol were elected as mayor in 30 March 2014 Local Elections by Kurds,Arabs, Êzîdis,Armenians and Turks electing. But co-mayors were dismissed by AKP’s (Justice and Development Party) appointing trustee to the municipality. Thereafter Ahmet Türk arresting becomes a reaction by city mosaics population.
