İSTANBUL – Mardin co-mayor Ahmet Türk was transferred to Silivri Prison in a single cell right after he arrested. We have been living with our pride since we exist. There is nothing to lose except our pride” said Türk via his lawyer.




Ahmet Türk was arrested on charge of “being member of illegal organization” right after appointed a trustee to his office.After he arrested hurriedly had transferred to Silivri no:9 Prison in a single cell. Members of ÖHD (Libertarian Lawyers Association) Zeynep Ceren Boztoprak,Şule Recepoğlu and Arzu Kayaoğlu had visited to Ahmet Türk. Lawyers stated that Ahmet Türk was kept in an isolated single cell.




Lawyers had demanded to Ahmet Türk’s transfer to HDP parliamentarian Nihat Akdoğan and Van co-mayor Bekir Kaya’s cell because he has a heart problem. But Prison authority asked medical report.
