ANKARA – HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş “ We as parliamentarian don’t demand anything personal. We began a hunger strike to remind responsibility of Justice Ministry and to protest right violations in prisons” stated.




Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş made a statement by his lawyer on hunger strike. Demirtaş stated they as person and parliamentarian don’t demand anything but they began a hunger strike to remind responsibility of Justice Ministry and to protest right violations in the prisons. “ We all want to draw attention on inhumanity and arbitrary treatments towards prisoners in prisons. Therefore there is a hunger strike since more than 40 days to protest these treatments” said Demirtaş.
