ADANA – A former student from girl dormitory where 11 students and an officer dead by a fire broke. She said “I used to live in dormitory by governor recommendation .My friends were dead from neglect” said. Another student from different school Muhammed K. “They were going to village from village and taking students. They were saying ‘we will take care of your children’. But these student were dead by burning” said.




The fire, which officials said was likely caused by an electrical fault, spread rapidly through the building's wooden interior late on Tuesday, as panicked victims tried to jump from windows to safety. 11 students and an employee have lost their life. 22 people were wounded.




DNA sample was taken from the children’s family for recognition of bodies.



It was learnt that dormitory is belonging to and Islamic group which named Süleymancılar since 1975. An anonymous student “People who were living here was settled by governor recommendation. These students were dead by neglect.

A citizen named Ali Kat “Parents were willing to send their children in this dormitory. Government had closed its own dormitory. People who couldn’t settled to new government dormitory had to come here. Most students are from villages. This dormitory is belonging to Süleymancılar. All people dead were living on the top of the building” said.




Muhammed “Students on the top of the building couldn’t survive because emergence stair was locked. If it wasn’t locked they could survive” said.
