Goverment's Inspectors tasked with tagging oppositional officials

ERZURUM-Inspectors, who charged by Interior Ministry to inspect the public officials in Erzurum asked discriminatory questions such as “which party did you vote to? Which denomination are you?”. Public official said this action is forced and tagging the people.

It was arisen that Inspectors were charged by Interior Ministry to inspect “opposition” public official. Inspectors had asked personal question such as political opinion, relgion. It is also estimated that the tagging will be resulted with suspension and discharging.

An anonymous public official said “ They came to inspect officials the public institution. But they didn’t inspect everyone. Only some of us who are oppositional. They asked me which political party I did vote for. At beginning I didn’t want to answer. But after they insist I replied “I voted for HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party)”. Then they asked me Why I voted for HDP. Questions were irrelevant. They also asked which domination he is to my colleagues.”
