ANKARA – HDP parliamentary deputy speaker Pervin Buldan “ We know there is no any visiting with Öcalan for long time. So any process about peace doesn’t begin without negotiation with Öcalan” said and added that Turkish Assembly lost its legitimacy after HDP lawmakers to being jailed.



HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) parliamentary deputy speaker Pervin Buldan spoke to dihaber about pressures over HDP and isolation over PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) leader Öcalan.



* You are in politic for years and you are also parliamentary deputy speaker. Can you tell us about function of the assembly? Do you think the Assembly was eliminated?



The Gran National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) is a place where lawmakers of its were jailed and also lost its legitimacy. Because all elected deputies can’t gathered because tens of them are jailed.



* Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was also elected as AKP ( Justice and Development Party) leader? Can you comment it?

He shouldn’t have been chairperson of a party as president. But a man rule system will be made realize by this moving. I think Tayyip Erdoğan shouldn’t speak in the assembly with different roles such as president or AKP leader. Because this is dangerous for Turkey’s future.



* Do you think a democratic alliance to stop this one man ruling is possible?

For sure it is possible. There is a ground for this which has began with Gezi resistance, continued with June 7 election and resist to being exist on November First and referendum. Specially after referendum a huge population showed they are disturbed to being ruled by AKP. Despite ‘No’ wins, with a great trick ‘Yes’ was shown as winner. If those who voted ‘No’ come together they can intervene to process of ruling by AKP.





*What will you do as HDP abut Turkey’s future and Kurdish Question? Do you have any roadmap?

We as HDP are preparing a plan for forthcoming period. The future and democratization of Turkey are tied with Kurdish Question. Therefore the main problem of Turkey is Kurdish Question. We saw it during referendum process that Kurds are the key of Turkey’s Democracy which means Democracy can’t provided in Turkey without Kurds. In this context HDP will try to find a way and method to gathering people in democracy side for 2019 election.



* Sense of ‘ peace process will begin’ was created in AKP’s congress? What do they need for solution?

There is no any base to return peace and negotiation process right now. Because we all know that PKK leader Mr. Öcalan is isolated on Imralı Islan and no one visited him for long time. Therefore the first condition of beginning for peace and negotiation process is removing isolation over Mr. Öcalan and restarting negotiate with him. Because any process and negotiation without Öcalan will not be accepted by Kurds. Therefore I think a roadmap should prepared with Mr.Öcalan. Also imprisoned HDP co-chairs,lawmakers, co-mayors and appointed unelected trustees are another problems.
