ŞIRNAK – S.İ is witness of destruction of Şırnak during 246 days of curfew.

S.İ was in Şırnak during eight months except two times she went out of city to supply some needs. S.İ told what she lived during eight months to dihaber.



Mother of two children S.İ didn’t leave her house during eight months with some other family from her neighborhood. “We had difficult time during curfew. I called up police for my children needs. But no one helped me to let go out. One of children ,daughter, is two years old and walking disabled. Her feet was rankled. I called maybe 40 times to ambulance to take her the hospital. They didn’t even response my calls” said S.İ.




“ One day my son three-year-old went outside without asking me. After a while police had shouted to him in an armored vehicle. I run out when I heard armored vehicle’s voice. Police ‘you b…h woman, are you such as mother’ told me” told S.İ

After the curfew S.İ faced her chicken, sheeps and lambs were burnt by police. “ There is no difference between today and 23-year ago. They did same thing in 1993. They burnt all of our houses. No one had charged them like now” stated S.İ
