KOCAELİ – HDP co-chair Serpil Kemalbay made statement after police blocked HDP’s press statement in front of Kandıra Prison. Kemalbay “ Figen Yüksekdağ is a honorable politician of Turkey’s peoples. We call all people specially women to attend Yüksekdağ’s trial” said.

HDP ( Peoples’ Democratic Party) co-chair Serpil Kemalbay made a press statement in a rest stop on road of Kandıra Prison after state forces blocked press statement in front of Kandıra Prison where former co-chair of HDP Figen Yüksekdağ is kept.

“ We are blocked by state forces and its armored vehicles. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan makes statement to all televisions specially state television everyday and he makes his public speeches everwhere. But the third biggest part of assembly is blocked by state forces. This is not acceptable” said Kemal Bay.

Kemalbay also reminded trial of Yüksekdağ will be heard tomorrow after 242 days of imprisonment. “ Yüksekdağ is a honorable politician of Turkey’s peoples. She is will of peoples and women. The thing they are doing to Yüksekdağ means seizing will of peoples. This means in politic literature a coup. We call all peoples specially women to attend Yüksekdağ’s trial which will be heard tomorrow on July 4” said Kemalbay.

After the press statement Kemalbay and HDP committee left from Kandıra to attend Justice March.
