Demirtaş refuses to join his trail as handcuffed

ANKARA – Imprisoned co-chair of HDP Selahattin Demirtaş wasn’t brought to his trial because he refused to being sent as handcuffed.


Imprisoned co-chair of HDP ( Peoples’ Democratic Party) Selahattin Demirtaş would go on trial for the first time after he was jailed on Novermber 4th of 2016. But after Demirtaş refused to being sent as handcuffed to the trial, he wasn’t sent to the courthouse of Ankara.

It was reported Demirtaş will attend the trial by SEGBIS ( Sound and Image Information System).


Meanwhile police blockaded around the courthouse due to Demirtaş’ trial.
