ANKARA – Imprisoned HDP’s co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş reacted to being sent the trial as handcuffed and stated “We will resist against injustice in any case and we will protect to dignity of people's will who I represent.”



Imprisoned co-chair of HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Selahattin Demirtaş sent a message after he wasn’t sent to his trial because he refused to being sent as handcuffed.




“ I stated that I refused to being sent to Ankara because I refused to being handcuffed. I am still a lawmaker who has immunity. I represent people’s will. I was sent back to my cell at 04.00 a.m. from the paddy wagon because I refused to being handcuffed. My right to fair trial was seized because I refused to go on trial with handcuffed . We will resist against injustice in any case and protect dignity of people’s will which we represent” said Demirtaş via his lawyers.
